1. Overview

VisaTalents Canada Works Inc. operates a job, career, NOC/TEER information, resume/profile, assessment, and opportunity-matching platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you use our website, tools, forms, assessments, account features, resume/profile services, job-matching features, marketplace features, communications, or paid services.

This policy applies to users in Canada and outside Canada.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect name, email, phone number, account details, resume/CV, work history, education, skills, certifications, language ability, location, job preferences, salary preferences, NOC/TEER interests, immigration-interest information, assessment answers, pathway preferences, profile visibility settings, applications, saved jobs, employer/recruiter interactions, payment details, support messages, uploaded files, device data, IP address, cookies, analytics data, and AI/tool inputs and outputs.

3. How We Use Information

We use personal information to provide accounts, tools, assessments, reports, resume/profile features, job matching, candidate matching, marketplace access, communications, support, payments, security, analytics, SEO measurement, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and platform improvement.

We may also use information to help users connect with employers, recruiters, licensed immigration professionals, education partners, service partners, and other opportunity providers where permitted by user settings, user action, consent, or applicable law.

4. Resume and Profile Visibility

You may have options to control how your resume/profile is visible.

Common settings may include:

  • Private: employers, recruiters, and marketplace partners cannot find your resume/profile through platform search.
  • Apply-only: your resume/profile is shared only when you apply, request matching, respond to a message, or choose to share it.
  • Searchable/visible: employers, recruiters, and relevant opportunity partners using the platform may find your profile and contact you about relevant opportunities.

If you apply to a job, request matching, respond to an opportunity, or make your resume/profile searchable, we may share relevant information with employers, recruiters, immigration professionals, education partners, or service partners. This may include your resume/CV, profile, contact details, work history, education, skills, certifications, language ability, location, preferences, assessment information, immigration-interest signals, and related submissions.

5. Candidate Matching and Limited Profile Previews

If your profile is searchable, if you apply to an opportunity, or if you request matching, we may show, summarize, or send limited profile information to employers, recruiters, immigration professionals, education partners, or service partners.

Limited previews may include partial information such as skills, occupation interests, experience range, location, education, language ability, NOC/TEER interests, job preferences, immigration-interest signals, and pathway preferences. Full resume access, contact details, or direct messaging may require platform login, subscription access, user visibility settings, user action, or consent.

5A. Automated Profile Visibility Alerts

When your profile is set to Searchable, our platform may automatically promote your profile to relevant employers and hiring partners on your behalf.

Promotions are matched to your NOC category, experience level, and location. Your direct contact details are never shared in these promotions.

You can turn this off at any time from your dashboard under Profile Settings > Visibility.

6. Employer, Recruiter, and Partner Services

Employers, recruiters, advertisers, and partners may use platform features such as job postings, sponsored listings, resume/profile search, candidate matching, candidate previews, dashboard alerts, recruiter tools, messaging tools, advertising, analytics, and related services.

We may share information with these parties when you apply, make your profile visible, request matching, respond to a message, or otherwise choose to interact through the platform.

Once you interact with an employer, recruiter, or partner, they may process your information under their own privacy policy.

7. Immigration Professional Marketplace

Licensed immigration professionals, including Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants, lawyers, or other authorized representatives, may use marketplace features to connect with users who request immigration-related matching, express interest in pathway guidance, submit relevant assessment information, or make their profile available for relevant opportunities.

We may provide these professionals with access to relevant profile details, contact options, lead/matching tools, or marketplace features through paid platform access, subscriptions, referral tools, or related services.

We do not provide access to private user contact details unless permitted by user settings, user action, consent, requested matching, or applicable law.

8. IRCC and Government Matters
